I will turn 34 at the end of the month and it has caused me to make some personal goals for the next year. I'm putting some things that I was focused on aside for the next year and bring other things to the forefront.

One of the things that I want to do is incorporate walking into my daily routine. I readily admit that I'm big, I'm overweight, I'm obese, I'm the "f" word. (I truly hate that word.) But now I'm the heaviest I've ever been and I'm feeling it for the first time. I've never really felt heavy or unhealthy before, but I do now. I guess I finally crossed the line. So I want things to change. I want walking to become a part of my routine and I'm going to track myself here weekly.

I'm very good at starting a new routine, but I don't keep it past a couple of days. Something always happens to side track me and then I'm off. I'm hoping that pressure from my 3 readers and 2 friends who read this blog will keep me on track. I'm not going to win any races with my speed, but establishing the routine is most important. Since I started today, I will post on Fridays about my week's success.
