Onesome: Sasquatch-- Big Foot? Yeti? "Harry and the Hendersons"? Maybe? No way? Sure, we have the entire family over for dinner every Thanksgiving? Whaddaya' think?
Twosome: and Haunted-- It's All Hallow's Eve next week; are you haunted by little creatures in your neighborhood extorting goodies from you? ...and do you do your part to provide an entertaining experience for them? ...or do you lock the doors, kill the lights and hide from the horde?
I live in an apartment complex so there aren't trick or treaters here. There is no easy way to tell who is home and who isn't and they aren't going to knock on every door. That's good in a way, because the last thing I need is a bowl full of candy.
Threesome: Homeland-- ghosts and spectres: do you have any local stories of 'haunted' places. ...or are there roads you grandmother told you to never travel alone, especially when the moon is full? Just askin'...
I don't like to think of haunted things because it scares me. Yes I'm a big chicken. But this lets me tell you a funny story. On this past Friday the 13th (two weeks ago) we stayed after school for a rehearsal. Once the rehearsal was over my assistant locked up the choir room, turned the lights off (except for the office light) and left. I decided to order take out for dinner and had to wait 20 minutes before it would be ready so to kill time I decided to play the piano. The piano was near the office and I could read the music easily from the office light.
Monday morning students started coming up to me to ask a.) if I was there late Friday and/or b.) if the choir room was haunted. I hadn't considered it, but the students in the after school program heard piano music coming from a dark choir room on Friday the 13th. I had students that weren't even in choir asking me if the choir room was haunted. I finally had to tell the truth because it was getting a little out of hand. I'm of course tempted to do it again next Friday the 13th complete with a glowing skull, but that might be a little too cruel. Funny but cruel.
How about you? When you're ready, post your answers in your own space, and leave a comment here so we can find you!
