Onesome: Going out-- means what? Deal with this and plan that and...? ...or can you just leave and hit it ... where? Hmmm... Where is "out" for you?
Haha.... of course it means PLAN. Part of the reason is that I don't live near where I think "out" means so when I go to that area I decide ahead of time what I'm going to do. A LARGER part of the reason is that I am a planner. I plan everything. It's part of my particular quirk (otherwise known as anxiety issues, although I just realized this in the last month). I have found in this last year of hanging out with people that I have become more comfortable being spontaneous, but not on my own. It has to come as a suggestion from someone else.
And out? Out means to me downtown, the museum / river oaks / montrose area. The best part of Houston. One day I will move there... as soon as I catch my leprechaun with his pot of gold.
Twosome: "...to-- the dogs?" Is that just a strange expression? ...or do you 'get' it? What's the most curious expression you've heard or you use and others don't 'get'?
I get it. Do you not get it (*sideways glance at Dan*)? Maybe it's a southern thing. I can't think of a phrase that I use that other people don't get, but I CAN think of a word. Waylaid. It has now become my barometer of someone's vocabulary. I used it in a sentence and my co-worker had no idea what I was saying. After that I started asking people if they knew it. So don't be surprised if I ask you but please be honest. Did you know what it meant without looking it up before I brought it up? And if you don't know, it's ok. I just want to know.
Threesome: Dinner-- bells and chuck wagon triangles: what sound means food to you? Okay, okay, sure, the ice cream truck counts !
The timer going off letting me know my microwave dinner or frozen dinner in the oven was ready. Now? I don't know. I'm going to have to eat a lot less pre-prepared food. Sigh. Maybe the leprechaun can bring me a man who cooks. Of course if he just gives me his gold I can hire a cook, but I wouldn't mind having a man along with it. :-)
