12-19-07. I've been waiting for you.

Hooray, today is the last day with children and they are only at school half the day. HOORAY!

I'm so far behind on my Christmas shopping mainly because I've been sick most of the month of December. (X-rays came back clear. Trying yet another medication and I have yet another appointment in one month). I have finished with my mom and my grandmother. I still have 3 (maybe 4) more gifts to get. That may not sound like a lot, but it is a trip to a different store for each one and I still haven't figured out what I am going to get for one aunt who is very stylish and hard to buy for. Usually I get her to send me a list, but this year no matter how many times I asked, she hasn't sent anything. I'm truly stumped. I'm going to be so broke after Christmas.

Because I'm on the computer all the time I was one of the first 100 people to respond to an email from Fandango for a free movie ticket. Yay! Now what to see. I still want to see Enchanted and I'm definitely interested in Charlie Wilson's War now that I know Aaron Sorkin is involved. I'm undecided on Golden Compass. I had a very hard time reading the book, but I might like the movie better. I wanted to see I Am Legend, but one of my kids blurted the ending and now it has lost it's appeal.

I've killed all the plants my mom helped me buy in June. I was going to buy some replacement plants so it looks like I'm not a total loser, but I don't know if I'll have time (or any money left) before Sunday. Pathetic isn't it?

I'm still struggling with that thing where when I have something big hanging over my head I feel like I can't go out and do other things. My mom comes in Sunday and I kind of feel like I can't do anything between now and then which is silly. I'm going to try to do the big cleaning tonight and go shopping tomorrow after we are released. If I get those two things done then I SHOULD be able to go out and do fun things Friday and Saturday. I really want to break this idea that if I have something big on the horizon that life should stop until it has passed.

And finally every day since I have enabled my Flickr stats, this photo has been the most popular on my stream. Most of the hits are coming from Yahoo image searches for christmas, tree, background, ornaments, etc. Weird.
