Two interesting articles I read recently.
First this one from Daniel Pink.: How to Make a New Year's non-Resolution
I'll let you read the article because it's short and he explains it way better than I can. The idea that stuck with me is to remind yourself that the action you do today is what you are going to do everyday. It is funny that I read it on a day when I had a candy bar and that is one of the examples he gave. Tonight I was late leaving school and then I had to go to the tailor to pick up my clothing. I was on the edge of making an excuse about not walking, but then I decided to walk around the shopping center for a little while. Because I didn't want to make an excuse the next day and the next day and the next day. It was just a 10 minute stroll, but I'm so glad I did it.
Second is this post from Gizmodo on the new social networking app, Path: The Social Network That Stole Christmas. It is not short but you should read it anyway. The problem for me is that I have very few people that I consider true, intimate friends and even fewer of those are social media junkies like I am. I live vicariously through other people on Twitter and I will always love Twitter for that, but I like the intimacy of Path. I think it has great potential.
